The Real Review - Huon Hooke
Light-medium colour in the glass; almond-meal and wheaty aromas arise with traces of buttery croissant, crusty bread and these are translated to the palate which is bright and fresh, intense and lively, with sustained intensity that drives very long through the finish. A superb chardonnay with a big future.
2020 Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon

WA Wine Review - Ray Jordan
A powerhouse cabernet of immense fruit concentration yet at the same time showing poise and effortless control. Blackcurrant, dark chocolate and a little graphite black olive characters emerge immediately on the nose. The palate is loaded with cabernet of great intensity with a chalky tannin and slightly graphite edge retaining control through to the long finish. Cellar 25 years.

The Real Review - Stuart Knox
#2 of 26 MR Shiraz 2018
Deep ruby red with pepper spices, red berries, and a beef stock aromatic profile. Medium to full bodied with dark spices, blue fruits and a savoury beef and vegetable savoury element. Great length and persistence that is caressed by fine tannins and a hint of acidity. All the components have come into harmony, and it is a pleasure to taste.
2022 Chardonnay

WA Wine Review 2025 - Ray Jordan
A light and fragrant chardonnay, but one with an intriguing complexity that emerges almost immediately. Light lemon meringue with a little grapefruit and roasted almond break out on the nose. The palate is precise and fine with a delicacy that belies the intensity driving through to a sustained finish. Has a chalky acid and slightly savoury finish. Cellar 7 years.

Wine Pilot - Ken Gargett
The Cabernet Sauvignon fruit sourced from the various parcels across CM’s Margaret River vineyards is destemmed and lightly crushed, before fermentation and then maturation in French oak, 30% new, for fourteen months. The wine incorporates 2% Petit Verdot, as well as 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
A maroon hue, the immediate impression on the nose is of some rather special blackberry jam notes, supported by bay leaves, chocolate, licorice, raspberries and coffee grinds. This is a luscious and delicious style of Cabernet, with good focus, fine sleek tannins and excellent length. A ten year proposition. There are plenty of Margaret River Cabs at twice the price which struggle to match the quality we have here.

Halliday Wine Companion 2024 - Jane Faulkner
An amazing bright colour for starters, all dark purple shot with black and red. The delight continues across a fuller-bodied palate that's full of dark plums, cloves, turmeric and Sichuan pepper – a bit of excitement here. The tannins are shapely, slightly grainy and everything comes to play a harmonious chord.
2022 Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc

WA Wine Review 2025 - Ray Jordan
This is a wine that’s been dialed back a little from earlier versions but still remains true to the style of using oak with sauvignon blanc. Oak fermentation and the use of a concrete egg all help in the composition to create a harmoniously balanced wine of layered complexity and richness. The technique highlights the minerality while retaining the mix of tropical and stone fruit characters that make it so appealing. Will handle cellaring. Cellar 10 years.
2020 Wallcliffe Cabernet Franc

WA Wine Review 2025 - Ray Jordan
This is a Right Bank influenced Bordeaux blend with about 91% cabernet franc. It’s a variety that needs good vintages and the early 2020 vintage has suited it. A mix of red berry and dark cherry and violet on the nose. The palate is still quite tight but elegantly framed with firm fine tannins. This is a serious statement of cab franc with cellaring potential. There’s an appealing juicy fruit character here. Cellar 12 years.
2023 Rosé

WA Wine Review 2024 - Ray Jordan
Delicate and vibrant rose that opens with high scents on the nose before delving into a lightly framed but exquisitely delicious alate. Lifted strawberry with a mix of spices and rose petal creating an enticing lip-smacking palate. Cellar 3 years.
